Preparing for Your Visit
You'll need about 15–20 minutes, a device with a camera, and a private, quiet space. Have your dog nearby if possible — clinicians appreciate seeing your working partner. Be ready to describe concrete examples of the tasks your dog performs, such as deep-pressure therapy or panic interruption.
After Approval
If the clinician approves you, your signed PDF letter is issued within 15 minutes and delivered to your inbox. It includes the clinician's license details and reflects the ADA framework. We also provide guidance for the DOT Service Animal Air Transportation Form if you plan to fly. Payment is collected only after approval.

A dog trained for physical disability tasks — guiding, retrieving, balance support, or medical alerts such as seizure or glucose response. Also fully protected under the ADA.
Guide & Hearing Dogs
Highly trained dogs that guide people who are blind or alert people who are deaf to important sounds. Among the earliest recognized ADA service animals.
Facility & Therapy Dogs
Dogs that provide comfort in hospitals, schools, or courtrooms. Valuable work, but not service dogs — they have no individual public-access rights under the ADA.
Owner-Trained Service Dogs
The ADA allows handlers to train their own service dog — no program, certificate, or registry required. What matters is reliable task performance and safe public behavior.
